Should we be using pencils or pens?

wow sorry just got here....
it's a toss up
I personally use pens but refillable ones so I just get a refill and pop it in so it's not like the disposable ones that are filling up landfills just the ink refill gets trashed
some places will accept disposable pens for recycling
they also now make pencils from old jeans, etc. so it's entirely up to the person
I can't really say one's greener than the other
