Are you a speed racer on the road? Have you ever gotten tickets? What for?

I pretty much go the speed limit. I got a ticket once, 12 years ago, for going 83 in a 65 zone

Not a speed racer, never gotten a ticket either

I used to be quite a speeder (I'd go about 75-80 in a 65 zone), but after I got a couple of speeding tickets about 10 years or so ago, I started driving closer to the speed limit.

I won't say I never speed, but I am 51 years old and I have never gotten a ticket. Guess I am just lucky. One time I got pulled over for being in a wrong turn lane, in a area that I wasn't familiar with. The policeman came up to my window, asked for my driver's license, look really severe and I knew I had had it. Then when he saw on my driver's licence that I was from out of town, he said, "What are you doing in our city?" I told him that I was with Catholic Charities and that I was doing a home study for a couple applying to adopt a baby. He got a really big smile on his face and said "Well , mam make sure and be careful at the intersection the next time." and he let me go. I figure he was a good Catholic boy and that he figured I was a nun. I didn't bother to tell him I was turning into my motel to join my husband and that I wasn't Catholic.

motorcycle cop
didn't even try to get out of it
have my lawyer on speed dial on my cell
so I just call him, have him handle it

i blame my lead foot for the racing I used to do in PA

I am a speed demon yes and will admit it. I have had one ticket in my life and one kind of warning. lol

The warning was about 40 years ago, gee that is a long way back. Anyhow, I knew it was a cop behind me and figured I am not going to slow down now, he will know then that I knew I was speeding. So he followed me quite a ways then finally pulled me over. Asked me how I was doing and I said, "Fine until you came along." He laughed and asked did I know I was speeding and I said I never paid attention but will from now on. He asked where I was going, I said home, which was only two more blocks. So he told me take it easy next time and have a good night and see you later and I said you have a good night too and hope I don't see you again. LOL He laughed.
I told my father when I got home and he said you are darn lucky he didn't give you a ticket for being smart. I said I wasn't being smart, I was being honest. LOL

The ticket I got in 1995 a week before my father in law died. We had been in Ottawa to visit him in the hospital and on the way home, I was busy chatting with hubby and my niece was in her van behind us. Well the motorcycle cop caught me doing 70 on the 30 mile an hour ramp. Pulled me over and gave me a ticket of $95 and said have a nice weekend. It was Easter Sunday. While I was talking to the cop, and getting my ticket, my niece drove by, or I should say speeded by and waved laughing her head off. LOL

Touch wood I haven't had a ticket or warning since then.

I speed. I do. But I have slowed down somewhat over the years.

Last ticket was not for speeding. In fact I don't think I have ever gotten a speeding ticket..

Pulled over twice, ticketed once. I try to stay within 5-10 miles w/i the speed limit. But when I don't it's because I didn't notice the speed changes. I got a ticket about 2 weeks before from having Cayden. I was going 55 in a 35 zone. And pulled over while traveling to Ohio w/ my kids for my Grandmother's funeral. Went over a bridge and didn't notice the speed change.

I am a lead foot and always have been. I am very fortunate that I have never been pulled over.
I got a warning once for a tail light out and that is it.
